The guiding principles in creating Parvisani are the principles handed down
to us through the ages by our greatest spiritual and civic leaders: love,
peace, nonviolence, compassion, humility and joy.
ECOLOGICALLY, Parvisani is an awareness of our responsibility to
care for the health of our home, the Earth. It is a refusal
to bury our heads in the sand, living obliviously to the consequences of
our choices. It is about transforming our consumer mentality, our
throwaway habits. We can no longer avoid or be apathetic to
environmental issues. NOW is the time to demand that alternative
energy sources be developed. How many warnings about
the use, danger, and limited supply of fossil fuels will we
be granted before its too late?
SPIRITUALLY, Parvisani acknowledges the
transformation taking place in the world - a transformation from just
talking the talk of love, peace, nonviolence, compassion, humility
and joy to a commitment to walk the walk and to call
upon our leaders to find
ethical ways to deal with the issues that confront us.
It is
an acceptance and a rejoicing in the right of others to
believe differently, an acknowledgment that other
religious/spiritual beliefs
come from as deep and as passionate an experience as one's
own. It is a realization that since we are given free
will by our Creator, we cannot be so arrogant as to force
our beliefs on others - even the Creator will not do
so! Our own spiritual/religious beliefs do not trump
others'. We are humble enough to recognize that no
organized religion has a monopoly on truth.
Parvisani acknowledges the importance of separation of
church and state.
POLITICALLY, Parvisani means that one can love one's country
without agreeing with its human, fallible leaders. We not only have a right to speak up but an obligation to
do so.
It means
"God Bless All Nations." Parvisani people acknowledge
that the people of their own country are no more deserving of blessings,
that their desires and their lives are no more valuable than those of
people of any nation. Parvisani people know that their lifestyle
choices should not take priority over the basic rights of others to a
clean environment, shelter, food, access to health care ... .
Parvisani is about citizens of all
nations demanding that their governments act humanely, ethically, and
compassionately. Parvisani people vote and act to transform their
governments. As more and more politicians see the Parvisani symbol
displayed
and come to know its meaning, they will realize either their time is up
or it is time to make positive and real changes.
Parvisani is about simplicity and transforming
ourselves from creations of the media back into creations of the
Universe. |
